Kumusta!
What a week! It has been a really great week. We had transfers and there were a lot of changes made. I am currently in Daraga. Pretty much city and close to the center of our mission. My companion now is Sister Donato. She is awesome and we are just loving our companionship, even though it has only been a week. oh yeah....and I have been called as one of the newest Sister Training Leaders. What a transition in everything. It has been a really great learning experience to be with another senior...we have learned a lot from one another and we are always working to support the area. We had some really great experiences and I am having a great time trying to learn a bunch of new faces and areas.....but I am loving it all.Today is Thanksgiving for you....yeah...there is no Thanksgiving here...but we may celebrate it later tonight :P It has been really great here and I feel that I am learning so much about the gospel and the language and everything.

Kumusta!
This week was good. We spent a lot of time trying to find some of our less actives and strengthening some of our investigators. There were many blessings and opportunities to learn from. We had exchanges this week and we had a wonderful lesson with a sister in our area...she told us that she has missed our lessons with her and we were able to extend a baptismal date to her. The Spirit was so strong...we can only hope that she will continue on her commitments. We also found a less active's family who are not members, so we have a lot of potentials in our area.We had a branch family home evening. It was a really fun activity and we had a really great turn out as a branch. And then we received transfer announcements. I am being transferred. I figured it would happen, because I have been here for so long. But it was a great opportunity to be there with the members. I love them all so much and I am so very grateful for their love and support in all that I was able to help them accomplish. We also had one last opportunity to meet with the Buenconsejo family....I am so very grateful for them, and I know that the Lord is on the path to guide and direct them.

I will tell you next week where I am being transferred to and who my companion is. The storm did not hit here, so there is no damage, or than water damage. But Tacloban is really the only area that is completely affected.

November 10, 2013

Hello to all,
I bet you have all heard about the latest typhoon that has gone through. I want you to know that we are all safe and counted for. The typhoon was one of the strongest typhoons to come through the Philippines, since 2006. It was scheduled to hit us on Thursday around 12pm. We scheduled an evacuation and had everything prepared by Wednesday night. And then we waited. The typhoon hit our area about 3am on Thursday and then it continued through the morning of Friday. They had told us that the typhoon was going to hit us, but it made a course of change and went through Cebu and Tacloban. Tacloban took the biggest toll of the typhoon and we're waiting for some news from them. There was 10ft floods in their area and the entire city was washed out. We were concerned for the members and missionaries over there... Yesterday we received news that all missionaries are accounted for over there and there was a lot of casualties that occurred. The mission president sent out an email saying that they have no food, no power, no clothes, but they are going out in their yellow vests to help all those around.

I don't know what I could have expected if that had gone through our area. I am very grateful that the Lord is there to be our guide and protection. There is suppose to be three more before the end of the year and we don't know where they will go and how powerful they will be. I know that the Lord has a purpose to everything and He will protect those that are called His. We are striving to do all that we can to be ready for whatever will happen, but we hope that those in Cebu and Tacloban will have the strength to endure what else may come...they had just experienced the earthquake and now the typhoon...

Because of the typhoon warning, we didn't get in as much work as possible, but we are trying to find people that are willing to listen to our message and accept the gospel in their lives. We have a two really great investigators...Sister Moran and Sister Basco. They are just so wonderful and I love talking with them and sharing the gospel with them. Sister Basco is in a stage of searching....and it is amazing to see the Spirit work within her....and the same with Sister Moran. We are so greatly blessed because of the love and strength of the members.

We are coming close to transfers and Sister Siola'a and I are trying to do all we can to be prepared for whatever the Lord sees best. We both love the area and the members so much and are excited for the investigators here :)

Dear Parents and Relatives of Missionaries,

We are so happy to tell you that all missionaries in the Philippines Legazpi Mission are acounted for and are in safe situations during and after the typhoon we have experienced. We had strong winds and some rains but the storm did not affect as severely. We will advise all missionaries to email you on Monday and inform you about their safety status during the storm and currently. We thank you all for your love and prayers for your missionaries and the whole mission as well.

Hello po!
This week was very interesting. We had little success in our area because of the holidays here...All Souls Day and All Saints Day. It was definitely interesting to see the culture here :) But we had some really great blessings from our work and we also had a baptism!! JohnPaul is officially a member...and a awesome one at that! We are so happy for him and we have seen so many blessings in his life and the changes that he has made in his life.

We had exchanges with the other sisters and there were lots of things learned. We also had the opportunity to share with new investigators. We love our area and we are trying so hard to do all that we can to improve it and leave it all better than we found it.

This week brings us closer to the transfers, but we will have to see what the Lord needs us to do.
